Grants support GuideStar's work to power the philanthropic sector. With the support of foundation and corporate grantmakers, we are able to continue free service to 99 percent of our users and to continually produce innovative new tools to interact with our nonprofit data.

The general operating support and project grants are an alternative or corresponding option to the GuideStar Philanthropic Partnership program. Previous project grants have allowed us to acquire Philanthropedia and Social Actions, complete our Money for Good II research, and fund our partnership with the Technology Affinity Group (TAG) to develop Simplify, now known GuideStar for Grant Applications.

Discover more ways to increase your grantees’ visibility through our Nonprofit Profile capacity building grant opportunity.
