As the largest source of information on nonprofit organizations, GuideStar is well positioned to gather demographic data from nonprofit organizations and make it available in ways that will help inform organizational DEI efforts and grantmaking.
Through the Nonprofit Profile Update Tool, GuideStar collects the following demographic information:
FOR BOARDS, STAFF, AND SENIOR STAFF
FOR THE ORGANIZATION
organizations have reported demographic data
of organizations report having a diversity committee or manager
foundations have shared diversity practices
are Education, Youth Development, and Human Services organizations
of organizations have submitted gender data on their board members
of organizations report that their senior staff and/or boards are comprised of at least half females
