why is it important

Challenges Faced by Funders And Nonprofits

GuideStar Nonprofit Profiles offer U.S.-based nonprofits the chance to tell their full stories, to millions, for free. Nonprofits programmatic information offers context to their work and provides donors and funders information they need to make better philanthropic decisions.

Challenge Faced by Funders

Lack of Trust

A top concern among donors and funders is how nonprofits are using their charitable contributions. Without this, a lack of trust in nonprofits can develop. Yet, too often, it is difficult to find this information.

Challenge Faced by Nonprofits

For nonprofits, fundraising can be time-consuming and inefficient. They enter the same information again and again, diverting resources that could be more effectively spent on their missions.

GuideStar Profile Training

With GuideStar Nonprofit Profiles, organizations can tell their full stories, providing programmatic information and supplementing their IRS Form 990 data. Through Nonprofit Profile Training, foundations provide grantees with hands on support to update their profiles efficiently, and present their data in a compelling manner.
